Janet Amoroso

Janet Amoroso has been teaching dance for well over 30 years. She has extensive experience teaching Acrobatic, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Modern. Many of her students have been accepted into the prestigious dance programs at North Carolina School for the Arts, New York University, Butler University, Point Park University, Kent State University, Florida State and others. Many of her students have also been accepted into dance intensive programs at Chautauqua Institute, Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and International Summer Dance at Point Park University to name a few. Former students have danced on Broadway, in Las Vegas, at Disney (Florida, California, and Europe) and in many local theaters. Her students have won numerous local, state and national dance awards and titles. Janet has been a guest teacher and judge for many chapters of Dance Masters of America. She is a licentiate member of Cecchetti Council of America and has been a board member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania for over 20 years and is currently Dance Masters of Pennsylvania's Chapter Secretary. She is an alumnus of Point Park University and has also trained intensively with Pittsburgh Ballet Theater. She has a Certified Masters in Dance Direction from Dance Masters of America Teachers Training School, New York University at Buffalo.


Leah Felmlee

Leah Felmlee has been teaching at Dancer's Studio for eight years. She is a graduate of Clarion University with a BA in Communications and a minor in Dance. She was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, competing for the Allegheny Valley YMCA and the Butler Gymnastics Club. Leah has taken dance classes, at Point Park College in Pittsburgh, Broadway Dance Center in NY City, Pine Tree Performing Arts Center, and has completed grade one of the Dance Masters of America Teachers Training School, New York University at Buffalo. She lives in Clarion with her husband Adam and two children Acacia and Titus, and enjoys sharing the love of dance with the students at Dancer's Studio.


Grace Baschnagel

Grace Baschnagel has been dancing for over ten years at the Dancer's Studio in Clarion, as well as teaching for three years. She majored in Dance at Slippery Rock University for two years where she specialized in Modern dance and Improvisation, before transferring to Clarion University to double major in Business Management and Human Resources. She has competed and received awards with Dancer's Studio at Dance Master's of Pennsylvania Competitions. She currently teaches Beginning Tumbling, Ballet, and Tap, along with assisting other classes in the Studio. She will fulfill grade one this summer from Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School, New York University at Buffalo.


Alex Lawrence

Alex Lawrence is currently at student at Clarion University, majoring in Early Childhood Education with Special Education. She has 12 years of dance training and is a former Dancer's Studio student of six years. Alex also continues to take dance classes at the University. She has participated in multiple dance competitions at Dancer Masters of Pennsylvania in Seven Springs and Dance Masters of America in Nashville, TN. Some of which have won overall awards and choreography awards. Alex is currently the coach of the Clarion Area High School dance team, assistant choreographer for the Clarion University Show Choir, and a member of the Clarion University Hip-Hop team, Hazardous.


BreAnna Kirkland

BreAnna Kirkland is a senior at Clarion Area High School. She has been dancing for ten years and was the recipient of the Dancer of the Year Award in 2007. She has also been a part of several award winning competition numbers. In addition to dance, she is a member of Clarion Area's show and concert choirs and has held lead roles in the school's musicals and plays. She enjoys teaching very much and knows that performing will be an aspect of her life for many years to come. BreAnna will be attending Clarion University this fall majoring in Musical Theatre.
