Course Description

New Student Availability

  • Ballet-Tap 4 Combination class all 6-8 year olds

  • Tumbling 1 for all 3-4 year olds
  • Tumbling 2 for all 4-5 year olds
  • Tumbling 3 for all 5-6 year olds
  • Hip Hop 1 for 4-5 year olds
  • Hip Hop 2 for all 6-7 year olds
  • Hip Hop 3 for all 6-9 year olds
  • Hip Hop 4 for all 8-11 year olds
 

We do accept new students ages 2.5-17 with little or no experience. If you are an older student please call for placing. We will find the class that fits you best for your age and ability. Please email us and we will find a suitable class for your child. Below is a short description of the core classes. Please call or email for more information.

Hip Hop-class starts with a thorough warm up, then shifts to strengthening the core muscles necessary for body control and proper technique. We then introduce the latest funk and hip hop moves, followed by lots of choreography to develop the expressive abilities of the dancers. The dancers will be having fun and getting a good workout as well.  

Pointe 1 -will be offered to those students at teachers recommendation

Ballet/Tap 1 - is designed for preschoolers age 3-4. Students will be taught creative movement, basic ballet skills, and basic tap skills in a supportive and supervised environment. Students will also learn classroom etiquette such as taking turns, raising hands, and respecting others.These dancers will learn ballet choreography that will be performed in the spring recital.

Ballet/Tap 2 - is designed for students entering pre-kindergarten and kindergarten ages 4-6. Students will be progress to learning more of the terminology, rhythm and coordination. These dancers will be taught ballet choreography that will be performed in the spring recital.

Ballet/Tap 3 -is designed for students ages 5-7. Students will be taught ballet technique and introduce more rhythm and choreography. These dancers will be taught both ballet and tap choreography which will be performed in our spring recital.

Ballet/Tap 4 -is designed for students 6-8. Students will be taught ballet technique and introduce more rhythm and choreography. They will start to put the fundamentals to work by learning new steps, rhythms, patterns, and combinations. These dancers will be taught both ballet and tap choreography which will be performed in our spring recital.

Beg/Int Ballet/Tap/Jazz  -is designed for those students ages 7-12. They will put the fundamentals to work by learning new steps, rhythms, patterns, and combinations. At this level the student may choice to add a jazz class. Jazz is a dynamic, upbeat class teaching the fundamentals of jazz technique. Jazz must be taken in conjunction with ballet. These dancers will be taught ballet, tap and jazz choreography which will be performed in our spring recital.

Intermediate 1 Ballet/Tap/Jazz  -is designed for those students ages 7+. They will put the fundamentals to work by learning new steps, rhythms, patterns, and combinations. Jazz is a dynamic, upbeat class teaching the fundamentals of jazz technique. Jazz must be taken in conjunction with ballet. These dancers will be taught ballet, tap and jazz choreography which will be performed in our spring recital.

Int 2, 3, & 4 Ballet  these classes are one hour in length. They are designed to reinforce all previous material and add more barre, center practice and basic stepts. Turns will be introduced in these classes. These dancers will be taught ballet choreography which will be performed in both shows of our spring recital.

Int 2, 3, & 4 Tap -these classes are one hour in length. They are designed to refine tap skills, while moving beyond the fundamentals of tap. These dancers will be taught tap choreography which will be performed in both shows of our spring recital.

Int 2, 3 & 4 Jazz-these classes are one hour in length. This is the study of jazz movement and an introduction to stylized jazz by combining classical, cultural and funk. These dancers will be taught tap choreography which will be performed in both shows of our spring recital.

All Advanced and Advanced Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Pointe class are at a pre-professional level. The training and curriculum is at a much faster and more precise speed. Ballet classes at these levels are one and a half hours in length. At this level most students are serious dancers. At these levels we teach and expect excellence in precision, technique and performance.
